Very nice beer garden, fantastic location. Good selection of drinks, completely sufficient selection of food and a playground and a small petting zoo for children. When it is cold there is also the possibility to retreat to a tent or trailer (with an oven). Top!

For me, yesterday was the last visit to this beer garden after 4-5 years of regular visits! The prices have been increasing by 50 cents annually for the last 3 years, for example for sausage salad. (This is an annual price increase of over 7%, which corresponds to twice the annual inflation!) Regardless of this, the portions (depending on the dish) were considerably smaller at the beginning of this year (when using new dishes, e.g. chips & sausage salad, it looks like a lot, but it's not more). For the normal / bigger hunger I find the portions too small / or for the quantity the price is clearly too high. Either you raise the prices or you reduce the portions but not both! For the price that you spend here pro food with a side salad + drink you get in the alternative beer gardens: Burg Stettenfels, Krone Fichtenberg, etc. equivalent food in larger portions, but with the big difference that there is service and you neither have the food You have to pick it up yourself, you have to take the dishes away yourself and then put them in boxes separately. What I personally find to be significantly more cheeky on the part of the staff: For the last few weeks you could eat without a mask at the entrance, as usual, wearing a mask is recommended (there is no obligation!) And the staff was not interested in whether you stick to it or not. Yesterday, however, when ordering we were unfriendly asked where the masks were, when I asked that the mask is no longer required, the unfriendly answer was: "I work at the doctor, the numbers are increasing - we don't feel like closing the shop ! " The sensible thing about it, of the next 20 customers, at most 4 had a mask on, the others were not even addressed by the same waitresses that they were not open. Point 1: Either the same law applies to everyone or you keep your mouth shut if you don't follow a recommendation! Point 2: If the beer garden wishes, signs should indicate the obligation and not the recommendation - there is a not inconsiderable difference between a recommendation and a duty! As a result, I will certainly not let myself be fooled for if the staff is too incompetent to put up appropriate signs!

Very nice and really good in quality and service. Also suitable for the extended family or group of friends. Like an alpine pasture where you can really relax .. I always like to come back. We recommend!

What should the "Mönchsberg beer garden" be called? It is not a real, classic beer garden, nor is it a restaurant. You can sit and eat very well inside the forest house. Outside in the so-called beer garden, which has nothing to do with a comparable Bavarian or beer garden in the region, it is rather uncomfortable and very expensive.

Was there for the first time with a group of six people. Food was very good and so were the seats. Flammkuchen are awesome!

Open, friendly, in the middle of nature and old houses. Large selection of drinks. The staff is friendly and there is plenty of space for many guests. I love coming here. A point deduction for the somewhat expensive food. But all in all a really great place to stay!

Cozy beer garden, well organized. Everything goes / comes quickly. Was here for the first time today and was surprised at the size ... everyone can find a place here. The beer garden is no longer an insider tip, you can see that from the many different license plates. Also popular with hikers, cyclists and motorcyclists. Great value for money. We will be back !

Nice rustic beer garden. Heated tent with a small barn for birthdays - service and food were great !!! Sandpit and a slide for children are available. Clean and new sanitary facility. To recommend!

A great place to drink and eat in with the locals. With great beer and sausages.
